Encaustics: Art History, Studio Set Up and Techniques

JMAC is now offering Adult Art Workshops in Jill McLennan’s Jingletown studio in Oakland.  In this workshop, participants will learn the history of Encaustic painting since the Egyptians, and how to safely create an in-studio Encaustic set up.   Each participant will have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of Encaustic techniques through creating one original work of art.  All basic materials will be provided, participants are encouraged to bring collage items (images, xeroxes, photographs or quotes, natural materials and small objects), ideas for personal work and a sketchbook.

The cost is $150. per person (sliding scale from $75. offered)

The class will run with 2 minimum and 4 maximum students in my Jingletown Studio, address provided with confirmation, please email to reserve your space.   Checks, cash or credit card payments through square will be processed on arrival.
